Northern Ohio Area Chambers of Commerce ("NOACC")
is committed to protecting your privacy and to providing you with a
safe, secure and enjoyable experience on the Internet. This Privacy
Policy applies to the NOACC Web site and governs the collection and
use of user information. NOACC encourages you to read this Privacy
Policy carefully.
Collection of Personal Information
NOACC collects information from its users in different
ways as more fully described below.
Computer Hardware and Software Information
NOACC collects automatically certain technical information about
your computer hardware and software including your IP address,
browser type, domain names, access times and referring Web site
addresses. This information is used by NOACC to provide and maintain
the quality of its service and to provide general information
regarding the use of the NOACC web site.
Other Collection
Please remember that if you directly disclose personal information
through e-mail, chat rooms, instant messaging, online shopping
(see below) or by other such means of online communication, that
information could be collected and used by others. NOACC does not
read any of your online communications.
Use of Personal Information by NOACC
NOACC uses the information to personalize and deliver services
requested by our constituencies, and to manage your account. The
NOACC web site also uses this information to inform you of other
products or services available from NOACC.
Generally, NOACC does not disclose customer information to third
parties. On some occasions, NOACC may share non-identifying
aggregate information to technical third party administrators
(for example the number of NOACC Web site subscribers but not their names or
addresses).
NOACC will disclose personal information, without notice, only
if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such
disclosure is necessary to (1) comply with the order of any court or
governmental agency; or (2) protect and defend the rights or property
of NOACC or NOACC’s users.
Online Shopping
Some Web sites allow users to purchase products and services or to
register to receive catalogs, product or service updates, or other
materials. In such cases, you may be asked to provide contact
information such as name, address, telephone number, e-mail address
and credit/debit card information if you are making a purchase.
NOACC has no control over third party Web sites or their use of any
personal information you provide to them. If you order products or
services directly from NOACC, we use any personal information
collected to process and fill your order. We do not share such
information with outside parties except as described above.
Commitment to Security
NOACC has instituted security measures covering the Services and
Web sites we sponsor to protect against loss, misuse or alteration of
information under our control. While we make every effort to ensure
the integrity and security of our network and systems, we cannot
guarantee that our security measures will prevent third-party
"hackers" from illegally obtaining this information.
Revisions to this Policy
NOACC reserves the right to revise or modify this policy, our
Internet Service Agreement and any other policies or agreements at
any time. Notice of any revision or modification will be provided in
accordance with the Internet Service Agreement. |
